Leap year date of birth
To all, I have a report that includes dates of birth when printed.  I have 4 digit year set as true in the BDE. For one particular dob (2/29/1996), the date of birth prints as 2/29/2996!  In the table, it is 2/29/1996.  This is a leap year birthday.  Although obviously not correct, it concerns my users. This report has printed tens of thousands of dates of birth and this is the first one they have noticed is wrong. Any thoughts? Greg

hadn't seen that before.. I'll test it here, too, but I don't know of anything you can actually do about it

Date Calculation
In my table I record my clients' date of birth and when they die I record their date of death. In order to calculate their age I subtract "DOD - DOB." However, it does not calculate correctly. For example, I use my DOB of "9/29/1958" and the current date(4/30/2003)and I get an age of 45. , It should be 44. , Does anyone have any ideas?, Thanks!

newbie needing help
right ive created a form with an edit box that i want them to fill in as a date of birth, and once the box is filled in the program automatically calculates the persons age, now ive placed a limit on the edit box but i want to know how do i get it to auto calculate the age once the limit is reached, because i dont want to place a button in that the user has to press to calculate the age of the person each time

Short Question of Time?
In an Access 97 database I am creating, one of the fields in a table is DOB (for Date Of Birth). I need a formula or something to compare the birth date with the current date and always get the person's current age in years. This would probably be in a query.

You will want to use something like the following in a calculated field., , txtAge = DateDiff("yyyy", CDate(txtDOB.Text), Now()), , the above code does not take into account dates between the first of the year and the DOB. You could take this into account by comparing the birth date in the current year to the current date.
