Is there a way to initiate a receive email function thru Paradox 9. I know it is possible to send mail out. So why not receive mail in?

NMSMTP - Sending EMails
I have to put EMail into a project., , Using the component NMSMTP (Delphi4), I can send mail to others on the same server, but attempts to send mail out to other addresses fails with error 503., , Am I missing something, or is this component limited to mailing round the same server., , If it is so limited, does anyone know of a component which doesn't have this limitation?, , Neville Roll Eyes

that server would have to be connected to the Internet for that to happen. Is that the case? Once it's handed off to the server, then your program is done. That server should know how to route it to its destination via the SMTP protocol.

Send mail with html
I'm having problems with the setMessageType while sending emails., , I have been using email notification for a while but now want to send emails which include html, (not an attachment). I believe that setMessageType(...) is the command I should use but I can't find any additional documentation on the structure I should use ipm.urgent is all the manual says., , The email system used is Mercury Mail 1.48., , Thanks for your help in advance.

Thanks for replying,, , The system sends the mail ok, but the delivered message shows all of the html code, this is with m.send()., Using m.sendDlg(), opening the mail dialog works properly showing the html and correctly sets the message type to highest., , I think I may use a perl smtp script as this will work properly., , Thank you for your assistance.

4. ObjectPAL Deployment Overview

To deploy a Paradox application, you need to deploy either the full version of Paradox or the Paradox Runtime both of which will include the BDE as well as any dependecies you've added such as psSendMail DLL, ezDialogs, etc.

5. Send Email Using C#

This code snippet will send a very quick email. Note that this code will not work as-is. You need to have valid email accounts and a valid email server to send a real email.

You need to add: using System.Net.Mail;
