I haven't use that, and I'll make sure Mike sees this thread, but.. there are many issues with using the old MAPI Mail() processes that Paradox uses. with Win10

Alias will not save
I installed paradox 10 on win 7 on many workstation/nodes and have not had this problem i just did a paradox 11 on win 10 last week with no problem. i name aliases (i have 5) / browse path/ keep new/ save as....works fine until i close paradox and reopen evertime i close paradox and reopen, it goes back to default..  I open alias manager and  says no database in use in upper right hand corner..... i set to open paradox as administrator still same problem i uninstalled paradox try again with same results. What do i need to do to fix... Thanks

definitely, and alternative approach could explain the root cause.. in the old days, it was "is it the speaker, or the speaker wire?".. still true :-) I use an INI file to control a couple of things that even the runtime users can mess with, so they come back in clean, the next time

What does this error mean? How do I fix? It happens only to a new node I just put on the network. using win XP pro.  paradox 11.0.0.3, Error comes up right after clicking  the Paradox icon on the desktop. I click OK on the error and paradox still opens and seems to run OK!? any suggestions???  I have search the net and this forum but could not find anything. The full error is: Access violation at address 0055a83c in module 'PXSRV32.DLL'.  Read of address 049800000., thanks scott,

pdxwin32.exe hungapp while printing in paradox 10
Hello All, I just started getting a pdxwin32.exe hungapp while printing in paradox on one computer only. We have paradox 10 on 7 nodes with no problem except this particular one. The error just started in the past 2 weeks or so. When paradox starts to print, most of the window turns white and hangs indefinitly. I can print from any other program with no problem. I uprgraded from paradox 10.0.0.663 to 10.0.0719 to see if it would fix but it did not help. What would you guys suggest? Thanks scott

How to open a wpd inside a form
Hello everyone!!! I am very green at programing. I have a path listed for a word perfect document in a field of a paradox form and I want to open it by clicking a button.  As soon as the button in the form is clicked, Wordperfect opens the that specific file. I hope that makes sense and is a simple fix.  Any help would be great. Thank You!!! C,

how to kill ctfmon.exe
There are two ways: 1.  Push CTRL-ALT-DEL goto task manager       goto processes tab and find ctfmon.exe       click on ctfmon and then click end process this will delete until you restart the computer   2. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/282599   will delete for good.  i have not done this yet.
