Does anyone have the Pardox developers edition 9.0 or later for sale?

Hi all, I have run Paradox 8 on a Server 2003 for over a decade using RDP sessions with dozens of users.  I upgraded to Paradox 11 and Windows 10 clients.  All still fine.  This week, though, I migrated my database from a Server 2003 to a Server 2016.  All programs run fine but I am getting multiple index out of dates each day when multiple users save data in the tables.  So far, I have: 1.  Disabled write cache on drives 2.  Excluded database directories and c:\netdir directory from Windows Defender scanning 3.  Edited LanmanServer and LanmanWorkstation to add keys 'enableoplocks'=0 and 'disableoplocks'=1 4.  Local share on BDE=true 5.  All sessions map to the same c:\netdir for control file and use same path to database tables Any help from those who have succeeded with a Server 2016 hosting tables in an RDS environment would be greatly appreciated.  

new problems for me with windows 8,  my copy of paradox seems to no n longer want to connect to my printer and the program shuts down when I try to use.  All other programs still print, just not paradox 11.    I also get An App Crash note of Paradox32.exe.  32 bit computer ? when I try to print.   can someone point me in the direction to fix.  

Hello again, I need to create a filter for a report from a client list.  The records I want to filter have a string that's common in all the fields I want to filter.  I want to filter on that specific string using the filter function in the report.  I've tried several operators and either come up with nothing, everything, almost everything and then some or everything but.  I even tried the ..*** used in search strings within a table. To all, As I migrated from Paradox 8 to Paradox 11, I noticed that I was not able to recreate one of my secondary indexes in the newer version.  The secondary index included a numerical field and then a logical field.  The logical (boolean) field was not listed as one I could add in the table restructure dialog box.  I went back to version 8 and added it.  Is there another way to do this so that I can retire my older version. Hi, I have started look at distributing my program in the office.  I moved the Data tables to the Server, deleted the .NET file and changed the .Net file in the BDE. Forms, files and reports work but it is crazy slow. The desktops are Core I5 250GB Ram and the server is running Windows Server 2016 Does anyone have any ideas as to why it is so slow

When trying to establish a table lookup thru restructure. I get the message paradox has stopped working.  I get a debug option and close option.. if I take debug.. the program shuts down.  Anyone know of a solution to this?

Based in part on information from this board, I bit the bullet and upgraded to WP Office Pro 2020 from Version 8. The installation went smoothly, but when I opened Paradox it was still Version 11. Comparing it to my laptop, it's exactly the same release, 11.0.0.676! I then uninstalled and reinstalled Paradox with the same result. Did I do something wrong? Is there a newer version of Paradox, and if so why don't the update program install it? If this is true, then Corel is ripping off customers — I could have saved $100 by purchasing the standard upgrade instead of the Pro version (Paradox being the only difference, I think). 

Is there a way to force Paradox to open forms in the "fit width" mode? The font it uses otherwise is rather small and difficult to read. However, if I change it to "fit width," it reverts to 100% when I exit and restart the program. Thanks.

One of our users got a new pc this week.  He has some Excel pivot tables that are reading data from Paradox tables via an odbc connection.  Every time he tries to refresh the data, he gets an error message saying 'Could not open Paradox.net'.  From what I understand, Paradox.net is the DOS version of pdoxusrs.net.  I had the user send me the Excel file and the table it was trying to access and it worked fine for me after setting up the alias that he initially used when he built this pivot table. I had the user search his hard drive for a file called Paradox.net, and one did not exist.  Does anyone have any idea why it would be looking for this file? Thanks, Doug

Hi, Has anyone managed to get Paradox 10 working satisfactorily on Windows 10? Care to share your setup please? We upgraded to Windows 10 last week and since then Paradix hangs 4-5 times a day. We manage to get it going again by having everyone log off and deleting all the lock files but it's getting a but frustrating. We have our data in a shared folder and everyone is pointing to the same .NET file. I've tried every suggestion I've seen here and elsewhere with no luck so far. Any tips, pointers, suggestions gratefully received.  Thanks  Delordson

I have a customer that insists on continuing to use Paradox. We have the files stored on a file server that has a share that is mapped to all users workstations as a drive. It has been working fine for years. Recently, we migrated the server to from 2008 R2 to 2016. We now have users complaining about the application locking up especially if inactive for a while. I'm wondering if anyone has an ideas to prevent this from happening? Thanks, Jeff

I purchased Paradox 11without wordperfect. I recall seeing a post about the need to recompile the Data in order to use it in 11. Can someone direct to the post or provide the procedure of how to recompile? Thank you.

https://www.prestwoodboards.com/Products/psSendMail/ i have been using pssendmail since 2009 on win7 paradox 10. i just upgrade to a new windows 10 machine that needs pssendmail and cannot get it to function.   Are there any problems with running on win 10 pro / paradox 11? Thanks scott

We need to upgrade some machines from Win 7 to Win 10, and they need to be able to run Paradox 8. 

Will that work?

Is there a way to install from a CD to a machine with no CD drive?

We have  been running Paradox 11 on Windows 7 for awhile. We have bought new Windows 10 pc‘s and are going through the configuration process. We have a Konica C658 printer. We are running into an issue where Paradox will not pick up the default printer preferences. For example, in the printer driver we have set Paper size = 14.5 x 11 Orientation = Portrait Print Type = 1-Sided Staple = Left Corner But when you print from Paradox, for example instead of Print Type = 1-Sided, we are getting 2-Sided. I know I can set some of these settings via code(I don‘t believe I can set it to staple). But I‘d rather not go back and change this on every form where I print reports. Has anyone run into issues with Paradox not picking up the printer preferences that are set on the printer driver? Oall other apps, such as the Microsoft Office apps, work fine. Thanks, Gary

Anyone have an idea of what the difference is between these two drivers are? 'ascii' ANSI     vs   Paradox 'ascii' The reason for the question, I have recently seen sporadic issues with the former, but have had inconsistant results when testing for the issue. For instance  SetGenFilter(Some_DYNARRAY)  might, and I emphasize might,  give errors with the former,  but does not with the later. With the latter, When exporting a table to excel, if a fiels is blank, data equal to one space is exported,with the former an empty string is exported. Just hoping to get a handle on how these are different and if possible,  how to change or check the the setting when the paradox application launches.

We migrated from using a run of the mill Windows XP box as a server to Windows Server 2012; one of the applications we use is a simple 3 table database which stopped working the moment the files were being accessed from the new server. We could see data but trying to add anything would result in a Lock Time Out error. I discovered that if I remove Referential Integrity from the detail table structure, and just assign it through the data model on the form, everything works. Would it be OK to leave it like that? or would it be somehow dangerous for the integrity of the data? Could the problem have come from some setting on the server? The person who installed the server for us doesn't think so but I'm not sure he is as familiar with Windows 2012 Server as I thought. For the time being I will be monitoring the data and checking that nothing is lost. Any suggestions? Thanks

I can not locate my Wordperfect Suite CD that I used to install Paradox 9. It has been mentioned that maybe when it was installed the software was copied to the hard drive for future installations. In order for me to locate the install or setup what file or files and there extensions will I be looking for? 

I have used posts to this board in the past to resolve this issue, but recently installed WPOX5 on Windows7 machine and tricks that worked in the past on Windows XP do not appear to work in Windows7. I have cleared all of the registry entries of PdxRegCl and have disabled the Registry Cleaner in the start up of msConfig, but next time I start Paradox, Windows recongifures it and all of the registry entires reappear and the RegistryCleaner is back in the startUp. I cannot retain the working directory that was set in the last session and all of the established ALIASES are lost. Any assistance would be appreciated.
