I have grown to appreciate Corel linux and PDOX9 and , use it because it is well though out. I have lately had trouble putting this combination on newer machines, however, because of the lack of drivers for the new hardware. If anyone know an easy way to add hardware drivers I would really appreciate the info., , Thanks in advance

There are some new tools posted on sourceforge.net, that enable viewing and editing paradox tables in linux. I have set this up and it works OK but needs more development for use with the Lock file situation for multiple users.

Just thought I'd wish the last message a happy birthday since it's been here all on it's own for a year now...

At this moment I'm preparing my Paradox 8.0 database to port to a postgresql 7.0.3 backend database running on Linux. The intention is to keep Paradox as a frontend since Object Pal has a tremendous source of possibilities to interact with the database server. One of the practical reasons to port to postgresql is the easy way to make a internet interface by using PHP. , , With BDE 4.0 it is (after some try and error) rather easy to connect to postgresql., , Since programming is not my core business I'm looking for some enthusiasts to exchange experiences on this matter. , , My interests and experiences are;, , database design, SQL and some OBJECTPAL., , Jaap Remerie
