I have figured out how to generate a simple Delphi 7 form with a button in it which will run an executable. , , procedure TForm1.Button1Click(Sender: TObject);, begin, ShellExecute(Form1.Handle, 'open', 'c:\E3238s\bin\E3238s.exe',, nil, nil, SW_SHOWNORMAL);, end;, end., , My problem is I need to know how to access the menus that are a part of this executable. For example how would I access the FILE menu in order to select EXIT.

Hi all I am having a problem with a program i have been working on and I have been filtering a database by date and client to produce records for a DBChar and it all works fine and as it should . As the record number grows thought I should perhaps use an sql query insted of filter and do you think I can get it to work I have a SDF Database called CounterData. I have a field in the database counterDate which is a datetime field  and I have two datetimepickers one startdate and one enddate. I not strong on sql and can usually make it do what I want but not with dates. have tried many variants of this select  * from counterdata where countertranstype ='+quotedstr('D')+'and CounterDate >='+datetostr(startdate.date) +'and counterDate <='+datetostr(enddate.date). I am using the Devart Sdac components to connect to the SDF Database Thanks for any help Owen Moore

I've been using Database Desktop for years to maintain Paradox tables in a Delphi development environment, but it now appears that DBD doesn't work on Windows 10 for build 1703 or later.  Is there an updated DBD that does work?  Or is there an alternative tool I can use?  I've found several tools that will let me view and modify the data in Paradox tables, but none that will let me modify the table structures.  Any suggestions?  I don't have Paradox for Windows, only Delphi.

Could someone help with explaining with an example ot two the basics of entering code to get calculated fields to work. Looking through what examples I can find, if I use this code -, , Begin, table1FieldZ.value := table1FieldX.value * table1FieldY;, End;, , I get a message 'undeclared identifier table1FieldX' is because I have not declared something? It's very hard to work these things out when many of the so called help pages only give "the" line of code and miss out all the other stuff., , Also I can find examples to put a calculated field into a grid, but what do I have to do to display a calculated field in a box?, Thanks, Tom.
