Okay folks, I've updated the look and feel a bit and integrated "differently" the other Prestwood websites. I'm not finished, but I would like feedback on it.
Specifically, do you like the "Prestwood Family" idea at the top? I stold that from coffeecup.com. Also, the menu bar is now specific to the boards (All Topics, Today's Posts, etc.). Finally, we're reserving prestwoodboards.com for use at this IP.
Well I vote the best feature to be the auto-refresh button as actually posting a message and returning from whence you came has always been the slowest bit - please, don't tell me it's been there for aeons and I have only just noticed it
Really good to be able to access the boards from their 'own' menu.
I took a troll around the site and thought that when going from the boards to the Online Community etc via the menu bar there should be a boards button up on that menu to get you back.. if you see wot I mean
Also there appears to be the option for anyone to log onto the moderators bit, I couldn't really test that bit as when I log in I am recognized as a moderator by the system anyway.. so catch 22 etc etc. And, when I reached that page I was told I was not logged in although I was
Finally, as Tony McGuire has pointed out on a Paradox board, you are unable to get to your profile without being told to log in when one is already logged in... cach 22 as before etc etc ad nauseaum.
My experience was the same as Tony's. Thanks, Tony, for the work-around!
Once I finally got in, I found I was not able to update my information until after filling in an answer to "what first attracted you to the Prestwood site?" Shoot! Why should that be mandatory? I can't even remember when I first visited; it's been years!

Generally I like it I'm not sure if its just my browser becasue I have had internet connection problems lately but there appears to be quite a space either side of the lightbulb icons on these boards though!
Overall though, nice subtle improvements. I like the thought that MyPrestwood and the message boards will be designed in a similar vein, i.e you know how to use one correctly, so the other should be a doddle!
One thing though, there isnt any real explanation here as to what purpose the MyPrestwood section can really offer a user.
