Is anyone aware of a Runtime distribution utility for Paradox 10 runtime? I have been using the expert for Paradox 9 but several of my clients are going to 10 but are experiencing problems with the delivered software.
Do you mean is there a Paradox 10 runtime? If so, yes there is. You can get it at ftp.corel.com/pub and if you're a Prestwood client, it's in the private client area for convenience.
No, there is no utility for installing Paradox Runtime 10/11.
There are switches you can use to indicate *some* settings. And one where you can cause a 'silent' install. But nothing that allows you to control all the bits and pieces.
The reason given is that there are waaay too many things about the runtime install (files, registry settings, etc etc), since it relies on a bunch of stuff that goes with the Suite. So Corel never disclosed the details of how to install P10 Runtime. Other than 'use the .exe provided'.
No I do not mean the runtime. I am looking for a distribution app (ie Wise) that will allow me to create an application distribution executable for Paradox 10 & 11 runtime applications.
I found also a way around; not so "clean" but it does the job.
You start pdx10 runtime setup exe (tested on 08.08.2003 09:17 version) with parameter /y.
It stops with warning (precise location of file may vary):

You got yourself a setup file(WIS14A4E4771D8311D5B70B00902713F081_10.MSI on specified location) that you can use with normal windows installer (msiexec.exe), and you can use it in your own installer with ease.
