I'm curious to know if anyone has ever successfully imported "fm20.dll", commonly known as Microsoft Form 2.0 in the Visual Basic side of things. It has several controls that are visibly lacking in the Delphi IDE, namely a ComboBox that supports styles, Multi-Column, and text completeion (at least that I have discovered). I'm not very skilled in Delphi, so I'm somewhat befuddled by importing this control in Delphi 6 Enterprise Trial.

I've looked around for other ComboBox controls, but really haven't found anything for free that has most, if not all of the same features as the one found in the fm20.dll file, hence why I've tried importing it (I use Delphi 6 Personal non-commercial).

If anyone has any pointers, I'm all ears. I want to be able to access this control, and be able to do ADO database access in the personal version if at all possible, as I really don't have the neccessary funds to purchase Pro or Enterprise currently.

If its free components your after, then check out teh following sites and search for your comboboxes. Lots of delphi developers out there need a component tht is not included in the standard package, so they create it. Because many of them are kind hearted souls who like to make our lives a little easier, they make them available for free download.

These are the three best download sites for delphi that I have found but when you download a component, be sure to check that it is freeware and read the license issued with it. Some developers will not allow there components to be used in commercial applications without some sort of mention or monetary come back!

I have indeed tried exporting it into Both the trial versions of Delphi 6 and Delphi 7, and the only control that gets registered is the TImage control. Poking around the generated control source code Delphi creates before importing the control, I can indeed find references to the other controls hidden within fm20.dll. Why delphi does not import those, I dunno.
