Hi from down under

Well it is with Mike's help that I got into Paradox. The books he has produced on Paradox are excellent and convinced I could indeed migrate from DOS to Objects. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks with the right tools.
I started with ObjectVision if anyone remembers it. In those days I think Mike was head of Technical Support for ObjectVision at Borland?
I work for a group of Investment Lawyers as their IT Manager. Unfortunately it is a MS site however I have contributed several Paradox solutions to the organisation.
I also write programs for hospitals most notably in the area of Obstetrics (babies) and Oncology and Palliative Care. These commercial products are written exclusively in the Paradox environment.
I am a MCSE and have been in the IT industry for some 20 years. I get great enjoyment from creating programming solutions to peoples manual systems.
I intend to teach myself VB6 (it is a far cry from the DOS versions of basic I use to work with) and would love to really get into Delphi.
It is nice to have a forum like this where beginners to experts are catered for.
Keep up the good work.
