Hello All,

I am looking for advice on diagramming my paradox database/application..

So far my methods have been really tedious. In Paradox it is easy enough to get the table structures out. For forms I open them in Design, use the object editor to get to the event and open that up for editing. I just read through the code to see where the original developer stored data and what other forms or reports he was calling.

In Access I would use the object dependency tool to do this type of work. I have not found anything like that in Paradox 9. Is there anything helpful for mapping dependencies in later versions of Paradox?

Are there any other tricks you guys have learnered for mapping out relationships and object dependencies when you are disecting other people's work?

look at the enum functions..

enumfilelist can give you a list of tables, then scan that list with enumfieldstruct to build a table of field names and properties

enumfilelist can give you a list of forms or libraries, then scan that list with enumsource and build a table of your code

an "org chart" of what calls what can be simple or complicated, depending on the complexities (or lack therof) of your app
