Screen Resolution and Resize Control

Hi ALL,   I have been using PDOX for 10 years,  currently using PDXO 11 for 250+ customers.   Over that 10 years screen resolution has seen a significant change,  and as we know PARADOX has not.

From an objectPAL concept,  Paradox has the basic Minimize/maximize/modal functionality.  As far as I am aware,  it does not have a viable RESIZE event that can be tapped into (does it?).

if I have code such as    Form.maximize()

that will cause the form to fill the entire monitor space.  

My questions : 

1. Is there a command to cause the form to fill the entire Paradox MDI window, without causing the Paradox backgorund(MDI) space to fill the entire screen?
2. does anyone know of functions, methods or the like that allow you control the PARADOX application window space,  without referenceing a specific form?

Essentially,  I want to set PARADOX to a specific size and shape,  and not allow my code to change it.

Any thoughts ???

Follow up,  I see in my code,  multiple calls to   MAXIMIZE()   - no form or report refernece,   perhaps this is what is causing my frustration

I have thought about this, too.. no immediate solutions, but two observations

I've seen paradox on many local machines and monitors, in many places.. to an extent, there is no completely constant "full screen" size.. I've seen monitors where it's NOT the full screen, and I've seen monitors where it's bigger than full screen

but here's the real fun thing.. I have a client that has all the monitors set for a "portrait mode" resolution.. I have dialed in remotely to several of his machines.. everything comes up super long, and evidently resized for "portrait mode".. paradox, windows explorer, word and excel, all the file open/file save dialogs.. EVERYTHING.. all the windows stuff opens that way, too, not just the old weird paradox app

I have not experimented with any of this stuff.. might all be a result of windows interacting with the video drivers.. might be something that has specific parameters, like from a Shell32 call.. no idea

Ok,  found the issue,   In several secret little paradox places,  there were APP.Maximize() lines.

took them out,  now the program seems to respect the window size that i set it to.

Screen Resolution and Resize Control thar are design the system function that used for do it control the  screen easily.
