.NET Control File location setting

When I want to open the files on my server I get the message;

"You have attempted to open a database that is in use by someone else, but data can't be shared. You must set the location for the .NET Control file."

Of course the file is not in use by anyone else.  I appreciate knowing your suggestions/replies for how to set the .NET Control File location.

NET DIR = drive:path

That is:

Run the BDE Administrator utility "bdeadmin.exe". This is commonly located at
"C:\Program Files\Borland\Common Files\BDE\bdeadmin.exe".

Select the Configuration tab.

In the navigation pane choose Drivers, Native, PARADOX.

In the data pane find the key named "NET DIR" and set its value to the drive and path of your "PDOXUSRS.NET" file.

e.g. if net file is F:\Common\NetDir\PDOXUSRS.NET then  drive:path is F:\Common\NetDir.

More than likely you have copied the .lck files along with the tables.  Delete the .lck files in the directory containing the table and you should be good to go.
