Today (Tuesday) I deployed a new version of our message boards. I had a bit of trouble deploying
Message Listings...
When you view a list of posts, you can now see the first 100 or so characters of each post. Page hits for a thread now show up in the left icons. Poster image and name now appear "with" the post link. In the case where you see the starter and last post, both posters are shown with their post. Lots of other minor changes too!

That pesky 503 error pops up now and then. It's almost always a very short server problem so just refresh (press F5).

This is a great website. You have some wonderful people out here. Keep up the good work.
By the way, the 503 error frequently means you are getting too many simultaneous hits on your website. I've had to move a few clients from hosting to dedicated servers or a virtual server.

Hi Mary,
Funny you should mention dedicated servers. Yesterday, Sunday, we completed our move to a dedicated server so now the website should be much more enjoyable to use. I was just getting ready to start a new thread and mention that. We are still optimizing the new server but we should be stable by the weekend. (Stable meaning we are done optimizing and securing.)

i like it, good job.Much cleaner and more readable or usable.
I did run into a few errors yesterday so i guess i saw your problems you had. I sometimes get a 503 service unavailable error. does the website go down sometimes?
