Just a quick addition to Rick's post. Here at Prestwood IT Solutions, we always stay up to date with the latest versions of the BDE so this shouldn't be a problem at all. In fact, it may make some problems go away.
Strange! BDE 5.2.0.2 has been out since May 2001, so I'm not sure why it was not deployed with Paradox 10. Then again, that could be part of the reason Paradox 10 never worked as well for me as Paradox 9 SP 4.
One of the easiest ways to install the latest BDE is with the tool provided at http://ibinstall.defined.net/dl_bdeinfo.htm -- be sure to first back up IDAPI.CFG if you have your own aliases.
If you want a definitive answer on whether the latest BDE will cause a problem with Paradox 10, you may want to check at borland.public.bde -- you can read and post from http://newsgroups.borland.com if you're not set up with a newsreader for the Borland groups.
