I am running Windows 2000 Advance Server and I have the routing and Remote running. I have a windows XP Pro workstation that I want to access my Server remotely but when I used the network connection VPN I do not get into the server using my admin account and password. Any suggestions

I have a client who has a need to create an app that does a screenpop in Outlook 98. They are on a PBX with approx 10 tapi users. They currently dial out ONLY using Outlook 98. They want the TAPI integration to provide screenpops. Specifically, have a caller ID info search their individual Outlook contact database and then screenpop the appropriate record if one exists. All workstations are running Win 98 2nd edition 4.10.2222A with Outlook 98 ver 8.5.5104.6., If you know how to do this or know of an example showing how to do this it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all, I have run Paradox 8 on a Server 2003 for over a decade using RDP sessions with dozens of users.  I upgraded to Paradox 11 and Windows 10 clients.  All still fine.  This week, though, I migrated my database from a Server 2003 to a Server 2016.  All programs run fine but I am getting multiple index out of dates each day when multiple users save data in the tables.  So far, I have: 1.  Disabled write cache on drives 2.  Excluded database directories and c:\netdir directory from Windows Defender scanning 3.  Edited LanmanServer and LanmanWorkstation to add keys 'enableoplocks'=0 and 'disableoplocks'=1 4.  Local share on BDE=true 5.  All sessions map to the same c:\netdir for control file and use same path to database tables Any help from those who have succeeded with a Server 2016 hosting tables in an RDS environment would be greatly appreciated.

I have a customer that insists on continuing to use Paradox. We have the files stored on a file server that has a share that is mapped to all users workstations as a drive. It has been working fine for years. Recently, we migrated the server to from 2008 R2 to 2016. We now have users complaining about the application locking up especially if inactive for a while. I'm wondering if anyone has an ideas to prevent this from happening? Thanks, Jeff

I need help.  All of my Paradox 9 runtime users are getting the following error message after I upgraded 3 workstations to Windows 10.  Not all workstations have been upgraded but now they all receive the following error message when attempting to login to Paradox... An error was triggered in the 'qlocate' method on an object of TCursor type....TCursor not opened.  Our server is Windows 2012 Any help is appreciated.

I installed paradox 10 on win 7 on many workstation/nodes and have not had this problem i just did a paradox 11 on win 10 last week with no problem. i name aliases (i have 5) / browse path/ keep new/ save as....works fine until i close paradox and reopen evertime i close paradox and reopen, it goes back to default..  I open alias manager and  says no database in use in upper right hand corner..... i set to open paradox as administrator still same problem i uninstalled paradox try again with same results. What do i need to do to fix... Thanks

I have Paradox 11 and Corel X6 with Quattro Pro. Within the spreadsheet I have several links to Paradox tables. Something got corrupted and the system crashed, leaving me unable to open the spreadsheet, From another work station I was able to open the spreadsheet files and disable the links, which now allows me to open the spreadsheet. But whenever I try to re-establish the links the spreadsheet locks up. Otherwise, everything works fine. I have reinstalled Quattro Pro, Paradox and BDE but that didn't help. The work station has Win 7/64 and have tried to restore the OS to an earlier point but the restore utility fails. I'm guessing that I will need to get the HD reformatted and reinstall the OS. Before I make that leap, has anyone seen anything similar or have any thoughts on how to make the DB-spreadsheet links work again.

Sadily we are still running a legacy application that requires PDOX45. Honestly I don't mind since I really love this version. Here is the hitch: I upgraded a workstation to WIN 2000 and now I can't get pdox to run. My command line is f:\pdox45\paradox.exe -extk 16000 -net f:\system\pdox45\ Which has worked just fine for all other W95, W98 and WMe machines but under W2K I get the following error message: Can't Start PARADOX: no directory specified for PDOXUSRS.NET, , Any ideas?

I've successfully installed Paradox 9 on a windows 7 workstation linked to SBS 2008. However, when I went to amend a report by redefining a field, Paradox crashed. I've tried to do this on two different reports and on two different machines. Why would this happen? Does anyone know how to solve the problem?,

We recently upgraded to a new server. The new server is running Microsoft SBS 11 AKA 2008 R2. Data transferred fine but when I run Paradox accessing data through forms it locks up on me. Tech support indicates server is running fine, no issues with firewall etc. We were previously on a server running SBS 2003 and we had no issues. I tried disabling my antivirus suite on my workstation as well to no avail.

Hi everyone, I´m a network consultant of various small offices in Argentina that actually uses Paradox 8 over Windows XP. Paradox systems are mantained by a small team of local programmers. We just start to upgrade the workstations to Intel I5 / Windows 7 64bits (4gb of ram, maximum 32gb) Systems works Ok under Windows 7 64bits. We have read the article at /ASPSuite/KB/Document_View.asp?QID=101303 that says there is not 64-bit version of Paradox. In this case: - Are the new processor (Intel I5 here) a significative difference over the previous Pentium Dual Core?, - Are RAM upgrades of more of 3GB (eg: 8 / 16GB) fully used by Paradox Runtime?, , The scenario in this instalation is a centralized server (Samba/Linux) with Quadcore Xeon processor, Gigabit connection and 4Gigabytes of RAM. Can we optimize this server for Paradox with more memory? , thanks and regards!
