Dreaded "Report layout settings have changed" msg
Hello everybody, I hav a long running application of mine that has some reports (only landscape ones, as far as I can see) that have begun to show the dreaded message "Report layout settings (page size, paper orientation) have been changed"... Any hint on what can I do to make them behave properly again? I'm running PDX11 (X6 edition) and/or the latest Pdx Runtime 11... I've tried resetting the page size, both to printer specific page size (I'm in Italy so the standard page format is A4) and printer specific A4, to no avail. I've tried both the DynArray report.print and the ReportPrintInfo variant, they both do the same. I'm banging my head on the wall, but no idea seems to help! Thanks for any hint, Shores

I resolved it by going back into the report spec and fixing it :-)

if the path name is too long, doesn't matter which way you shorten it.. the printer name, you are best to actually be a shared printer, and shorten the network name

RE: Dreaded
And so how did you resolve? , , By opening with a different table interactively?, , I usually create my reports directly on tables residing in aBig Grin!AT: alias, and then substitute the master table only by code when printing... Thanks!

RE: Strange errors with :priv: rep
Ok, I'll check the printer name and the path length, what do you think about my idea of using substed drives to shorten the paths, do you think it helps or not? Thanks!

Creating a new logical column with false values
Hi everybody! In the table resulting from a QBE I need to have a new column of the logical type containing all false values. I was used to type CALC 1 AS NEWFIELDNAME  to generate a new longint field named NEWFIELDNAME having the default value of 1. So, I tried doing CALC FALSE AS NEWFLAG, but that syntax produces a new STRING field containing the word "FALSE"... :) I then thought that CALC 1<>1 AS NEWFLAG would do the trick, but that simply isn't accepted by the QBE parser... Any ideas? :),

Yep, that will work.   However there is an outside chance that the values will match.  You will need to make sure the value in the helper table has a value that does not exist in the joined table.

Regarding...
Borland Database Engine 5.202
