Windows 10
Hi there For those of you still running Paradox I can tell you, that it runs very well on Windows 10. No errors and very fast and stable. No problems with BDE either. Only problem we have is using PDFCreator printing PDF directly in the code. But only in some cases. Need to check my code for this. No need to change for anything else due to new Windows version. Atleast we will stick to our Paradox solution as long as we can. Peter

How To use a variable as the name for a report
Hi I would like to have our delivery-note number as the report name, so when we print it with a PDF driver, the pdf attachement would have the same name as it corresponding deliverynote. In order words how would the syntax be for renaming the report before printing ?  Rgds Peter

Hi Bill We still are looking for an answer, so thank you for your reply. Yes, we do use PDF Creator.  So using file system method for renaming is the path.  Thank you.  Peter

RE: printerSetCurrent() VERY slow
We use PrinterSetCurrent() all the time, but only by printing to a PDF-printer it takes long. I do not belive it has anything to do with the syntacs, but the generating of the pdf itself. Maybe you could try to change the PDF-software to another which execute better. We use PDFCreator which is good, but not very fast., If you have a lot of graphics on the report, try to remove it and see if it improves. , /Peter,

Barcode only works with asterisk
Hi We want to bring our order-number as a barcode on paper. The number is an Integer in the field. For this we use a Code 39 font, and the barcode looks all right on paper, but can not be read by the scanner. Only if we change the field to Alpha and put in * as start and stop character it works. Any idea how to aviod the asterisk, and anyone who knows a font where it works 'out of the box' ? Can the setup for scanner be changed  ? Using PDX11. Best regards Peter
