3. Backup Windows XP

Windows XP includes its own backup program, although you may need to do some digging to find it. You can also take your pick of third-party programs (listed at the end of this column) that add bells and whistles you won't find in the basic Windows XP Backup utility.

4. Removable Disks - a brief overview & history Wherever would we be without portable, inexpensive removable media? From the old, eight-inch floppy, to the latest Blue Ray DVD format, little spinning disks have provided computer users with convient, off-line storage. Yes. Use the GetLogicalDrives function. If a removable drive is removed, it's cooresponding logical drive will be removed., , The function in my first message tells if removable MEDIA is in the drive. This always takes longer because the drive has to spin up.

Runtime size
Hi all,, , First I'd like to apologize to the more experienced forum members if some of my questions have already been discussed., , 2 questions:, , 1. When using the distribution expert in P9DE the P9Runtime appears to be about 41Mb. As I will (hopefully, some day) develop custom apps distributed on CD-ROM, it is not really an inconvenience. Just wanted to be up to date with whether there are ways to reduce the runtime size., , 2. If I choose a different install utility, where is the list of files that should be included to make the application "stand-alone"?, , Sincerely,, , Dan Banici
