It runs on Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X, possibly supporting other platforms as well.
A great registry editor and a must have if you spend a lot of time in Microsoft's Registry Editor.
6. StM - Startup Manager and replacement for MSCongif
MSConfig's startup control pane doesn't have a lot of functionality. Startup Manager is an excellent replacement, and it's available in a portable version as well.
Memtest86 is thorough, stand alone memory test for x86 architecture computers. BIOS based memory tests are a quick, cursory check and often miss many of the failures that are detected by Memtest86.
8. WPKG - Automated software deployment, upgrade and removal program for Windows
Used this open source software to push/pull software packages, such as Service Packs, hotfixes, or program installations from a central server (for example, Samba or Active Directory) to a number of workstations. It can run as a service to install software in the background (silent install), without user interaction. It can install MSI, InstallShield, PackagefortheWeb, Inno Setup, Nullsoft, other software installers or .exe packages, .bat and .cmd scripts and similar: no more repackaging to perform software installation.
9. JkDefrag - automates system maintenance (screensaver, task scheduler, and DLL versions)
Disk defragmenter and optimizer for Windows 2000/2003/XP/Vista/2008/X64. Once I had the same problem. I read a review which said that Nerdify, the service I was looking for, was scam. Since that the question is nerdify cheating or not didn‘t leave my head. I read a lot of reviews after, but still have doubts.
I think that this is not a complete list of such applications, but many will actually be useful. True, depending on the requirements of the company, you need to indicate the experience of working with them in the resume coach.
