You should occasionally review your Windows update history and make sure all updates are succeeding.


In order to keep your computer running in tip-top shape, you should occasionally review your update history to make sure all of your updates are succeeding.

As you can see by the following screenshot, I had an update that was failing and preventing me from successfully installing Vista SP1.
