During Discovery we decide on an approach that works for both companies, establish an initial budget, and document what the software must do.

During the Inception phase is a great time for YOU to put into writing as best you can what you want the software to do. This will save us both time during the Requirements phase.

During the Requirements phase, we put into writing what the software must do. We take any written documentation you provide, review it, and ask clarifying questions.

For most projects, this is also the time we start a prototype (an empty shell of the finished project.

Usual Deliverables:

  • Written Requirements Document
  • Prototype

Note Each project we take on is unique. The tiger team assembled will work with you to decide on what specific deliverables will work best for your project.

Inception During this phase, together we decide if the project can be done and can it be done in the time frame needed.

Deliverables:

  • Feasibility Study

  • Firm requirements phase estimate

  • Rough design phase estimate

  • Very rough implementation estimate

Requirements During this phase the project requirements are documented in detail using business terms (not technical terms).

Deliverables:

  • Requirements Specification

  • At least one Technical Solution Proposal (high level design)

  • Firm design phase estimate

  • Updated rough implementation estimate

Requirements documentation usually consists of a written document using either the traditional or use case based PSDP template.

  • Requirements Specification (based on PSDP template)
