Return day of week in ASP

Use Weekday and WeekdayName to return the day of week in ASP.
Weekday returns a whole number representing the day of the week.
Weekday(date, [firstdayofweek])
  • date = Any expression that can represent a date. If date contains Null, Null is returned.
  • firstdayofweek = A constant that specifies the first day of the week. If omitted, vbSunday is assumed. Valid values are vbSunday..vbSaturday and vbUseSystem.
Return Values
  • 1 = vbSunday
  • 2 = vbMonday
  • 3 = vbTuesday
  • 4 = vbWednesday
  • 5 = vbThursday
  • 6 = vbFriday
  • 7 = vbSaturday
This final example starts the week on Monday.
Using WeekdayName
Returns a string indicating the day of week.
WeekDayName(weekday, abbreviate, firstdayofweek) 
This final example returns an abbreviated version.
