Return day of week in ASP

Use Weekday and WeekdayName to return the day of week in ASP.

Weekday

Weekday returns a whole number representing the day of the week.

Syntax
Weekday(date, [firstdayofweek])
date = Any expression that can represent a date. If date contains Null, Null is returned.
firstdayofweek = A constant that specifies the first day of the week. If omitted, vbSunday is assumed. Valid values are vbSunday..vbSaturday and vbUseSystem.
Return Values
1 = vbSunday
2 = vbMonday
3 = vbTuesday
4 = vbWednesday
5 = vbThursday
6 = vbFriday
7 = vbSaturday
Examples
This final example starts the week on Monday.

Using WeekdayName

Returns a string indicating the day of week.

Syntax

WeekDayName(weekday, abbreviate, firstdayofweek)

Examples

This final example returns an abbreviated version.
